Beaches

Monaco’s beach is Larvotto, on the eastern side of the Principality. Here is what we can confirm, and what we are still checking.

Larvotto

The Larvotto beach resort was rebuilt and officially reopened on Saturday 3 July 2021. The Government of Monaco described a bigger beach for residents and visitors, a refurbished seafront promenade, new shops, restaurants and beach operators, and a dedicated Handiplage area for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Getting there

CAM bus lines 5 (from the hospital) and 6 (from Fontvieille) both end at Larvotto, and the express X3 runs there on weekday daytimes. The Zou line 80 airport coach also lists a Larvotto stop. See Getting around for fares.

Still to check

Lifeguard season, which parts of the beach are public and which are run by beach clubs, Handiplage opening times for 2027, and any rules on dress in the streets away from the beach are all to be confirmed. We will add them once we have an official source.
