The Marché de la Condamine

Monaco’s market has traded on the Place d’Armes for more than 120 years, says the Mairie, with butchers, bakers, a fishmonger, fruit and vegetable growers and florists, plus Monégasque and regional specialities.

  • Traders: every day, 07:00 to 15:30
  • Fruit, vegetable and flower sellers: every day, 07:00 to 12:00
  • Evening food: Tuesday to Saturday, 18:00 to 23:00

From 15 January 2026 the inside of the market hall is closed for 13 months of major works, so the traders have moved out onto the Place d’Armes.

Barbagiuan

A Monégasque speciality to look out for is barbagiuan (also spelt barbajuan): a fried pastry, traditionally filled with Swiss chard and ricotta.
