Getting around

Monaco is small but steep. The buses of the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco (CAM) save your legs, and paying by card is cheaper than cash.

The bus lines

CAM runs six regular lines. Visit Monaco says they run roughly 07:00 to 21:00 every day, with frequent service.

Using the station exits

Monaco-Monte-Carlo station is underground, with exits at Monte-Carlo (Pont Sainte-Dévote), Parvis Sainte-Dévote, La Condamine and Fontvieille / Le Rocher. Visit Monaco says the Monte-Carlo, La Condamine and Fontvieille / Le Rocher exits have lifts. More on the station.

Step-free routes

A tested guide to step-free routes, public lifts and the gentlest ways up to the Rock and the Jardin Exotique is to come. We will only publish routes we have walked and checked.

The Bateau Bus

CAM also runs an electro-solar boat service, the Bateau Bus. Its route, season and fare are to be confirmed; see CAM’s page.
